Freed Heart original was Oil on Canvas Board. This is a conceptual piece, created in a self-awareness workshop. We were asked to think of our dis-ease and find the cure.
Mine was depression and the cure was self-love and acceptance. By allowing love and light into my heart, it released the chains that bound me.
Pansy Close-Up, was painted around the time I fell in love with Georgia O’Keeffe, in early 2000. I loved her perspective on proportions and the use of soft blending.
